The blind bag bonanza continues with the Zombie, and this is a weird one. The coat is tattered. The rest of the parts you've seen before in some form or another, with eerie green skin complete with stitches to indicate either some ancient injury or a failed attempt to put him back together again.
As with other blind-bagged figures, assembly is required and boy howdy is it tight. The coat is bulky and extends out thanks to its pockets, so the arms kind of scrape up against them. Otherwise, you know the drill.
The figure's torso is wrapped in bandages, sort of like a mummy. Cast pieces are made to clamp on an arm and also the head - giving it a wrapped appearance. He lacks shoes, has green skin, and the tattered coat seems vaguely modern. I can't buy it as a zombie because it's smiling and carrying a light source, which implies a greater capacity for thought and the use of tools than I was told zombies tend to have. But it looks cool. I guess I could give the lantern to another figure, but I generally won't do that due to wanting to keep things together. There's not a lot to wow or amaze with the sculpt here, but the printing on the figure itself is impressive enough.
I got a bunch of blind bags and a postal scale, so I'm going to see if I can determine what's new or unique by weighing the bags instead of fondling the sacks like I'm checking for lumps in the shower. On that note, it's a good figure and the first bag I opened, and I'd say it's pretty great. I don't know if I'd buy it outside a blind bag because of a similar figure in the Haunted House Play Box [FOTD #1,354], but if I were looking to build a zombie horde it's more than sufficiently different. Monster Playmobil fans, this is a cool ghoul.
