Another review I shot a long time ago, this 2013 MVR Reverse Gobon is something I had no reason to not review. Despite being released 13 years ago, this seems to be the only white body Gobon. I might be wrong here, but I believe we've only had one other Gobon in the last six years. Normally I'd say in these reviews that this version is sold out (it is), and a new version is probably going to come again real soon. At this point I'm curious if the molds still exist, because we got one in 2019, another in 2025, and the next time... who knows?
This fellow is the reverse of Onell Design Glyos MVR Standard Gobon [FOTD #726] - which means Onell ran white and yellow figures, and swapped the limbs. It's cheaper and more durable than painting, but it means you might have a second "lesser" version that takes longer to sell. Most figures seem to be painted rather than reversed these days, so this is something of a relic at this point.
Gobons are far and few between on eBay. As of my writing this, everything is at least $50. Matt Doughty of Onell Design fame, if you're reading, maybe run another one next year year? Maybe it's time for Snorlax colors.

Made of 13 total parts, the white figure is largely unpainted. The eyes are colored in, but that's all... and oddly that's enough. The big yellow bell-shaped body could be a canvas for a face or technical bits, or you could just enjoy it for the hard butter slab that it is. The feet have sculpted detail on the bottoms, and the hands, feet, and limbs all seem to be the same parts duplicated. If you pop apart this figure at the waist you'll be treated to a second cyclops head, complete with a jagged mouth you can color in if you so choose. The second head won't fit on the body unless you flip it over, giving you an alternate "buff" configuration.

As with many Onell Design figures, the default head has a "reverse" face. The main one has two eyes, the back one has an evil The Black Hole Maximillian-ish eye - and it's painted in, too. The figure is smooth, with sculpted bands in the arms and legs. Some early versions of the figure (and a few later ones) filled in these panel lines, but in this case you just have to do it yourself or let the light and shadow do the heavy lifting. Even without paint, it looks pretty good.
I'd love to recommend these figures, but you're unlikely to find one for sale outside one of the few Glyos communities online. Fans are happy to trade but seem hesitant to sell outright on eBay or elsewhere. A lot of these figures were produced in the low hundreds, so if you want one? Ask around, bribe a guy, or start petitioning for a rerun. There aren't a lot of people that bought these in bulk, so it's unlikely you'll find a dealer with mountains of these guys in stock until (or unless) a fan cashes out a collection at some point. As time goes on I think that's going to be a rarity, as these are obscure figures and I'd be willing to bet a lot of dealers weren't educated as to the existence of these special little guys. Their loss! Get yourself a Gobon, or suffer life without one.
