Certain kinds of toys are feast or famine, and we got a big surge of keshi figures in 2023 - so I dragged my feet buying any Batman Tiny Mights Minifigures since I was still going through my Scooby figure. When they hit $1.75 on the clearance rack, I got a set - they're good! (Of course they're good.) Culture Fly will be adding other horror and fun licenses, like Gremlins, to the mix and Batman makes good sense. I wanted a Clayface and he was pretty easy to spot in the clear blue Batmobile capsule package.
There are 12 figures that come in at least eight colors. Most stand fairly well, but some have tiny feet and may need extra support - goodness knows Ivy needed help while being photographed. If you have old M.U.S.C.L.E. figures, these are more or less exactly like those. Back in 1987 you could get a 4-pack for $1. Adjusted for inflation, that's closer to $3 today. These may not be comparable, as you trade out a figure for the Batmobile plastic capsule package, and you have to pay for a license. I'd still say you're getting something pretty good for the asking price.

I got Poison Ivy in purple, which shows off the sculpting well - but feels off due to the color. Ivy is usually some combination of green and red, so seeing her without either color makes me think more of Huntress, Catwoman, or some other character. The sculptor did a great job with her long hair, tiny vines on her limbs, a leafy bustier, and fairly simple boots. I would love it if her pose had bigger feet spread apart a bit so she wouldn't fall over, but such is life. (Batgirl got it right.) It's a perfectly nice 1 3/4-inch figure that I think would do well if placed in a blister card in the toy aisle, rather than in checklanes next to playing cards. (Especially since these don't go in the self-check aisles, the Walmart not-quite exclusive line may never have been seen by the very people who would want to make an impulse purchase of these sets.) It's a good figure.

The yellow Bagirl looks a lot more like a traditional mini-figure with big boots and her fists stretched out. She has a cape, a pointy cowl, a belt, and generally seems closer to the recent designs of the character in toys and comics. Yellow doesn't show it off as easily, but there's a sculpted bat-symbol on her chest, sculpted laces on her boots, and tons of pieces of bat-gear on her legs. You can even see hair cascading out of her cowl. I found the figure to be sturdy and stable, making this one a winner.

The third figure in the set was a giant Clayface, cast in red. At 2 1/4-inches wide and 1 3/5-inches tall, he's a meaty monster which again doesn't seem to draw any specific inspiration - bits of him kind of look like the Imaginext figure, or the Kenner animated figure, or any given comic appearance. The color shows off his personality nicely, with a squinty face and an open mouth with visible teeth. The spiky ball hand looks dangerous, but rounded off so it can't stab anybody. The goopy texture looks superb, and as I write this up I kind of want to go back to the store and buy a few more sets. Maybe I will, after dinner. It's sturdy, stable, and a great example of a decent toy for collectors at a low price that isn't priced in a way that will make you sad.
Culture Fly has proven you can make a pretty good licensed toy figure that is worth going to a store and buying. I wish these were packaged in a way that may make them more prominent and appealing to people, placed at eye level, so they'd sell more - but that's life. The quality is good, the sculpting is nice, and the price is on the happy side of what this kind of product costs. It's cheaper than what Super7 did a few years ago, no doubt thanks to higher orders from Walmart and multiple colors encouraging repeat purchases. I hope they do more licenses, although most of what they're doing seems to appeal to adults. I hope they keep going, I'd love to see how WWE or whatever the kids are into might do, and I appreciate any toy company attempting to break out of the higher-dollar collector market.
