This figure is sold out. But, Onell.store released two other color variations over the weekend. Check the store for availability.
I've cut back slightly on some toy purchases but couldn't say no to the Infinite Pheyden Standard. For years there's been buzz of the Four Horsemen doing some Pheyden sculpting We've seen the Infinite Legions Pheyden and Phanost (coming soon) and they also worked on these simpler, smaller guys. Fancy armor Pheyden with longer limbs just plain works, and comparing the Horsemen's big guy with Onell's little guy you can see the difference in execution. The Four Horsemen version has intense articulation and paint, with all sorts of highlighted details. Onell Design made a figure that's more pragmatic, with coloring no doubt influenced by the current international manufacturing situation. It's not unlike what we see out of the major franchise brands - different interpretations for different price points for different audiences. This is the entry-level limited edition indie figure, and I can't really put it down.
This one combines the Onell Design character with the Four Horsemen sculpting - the limbs are downsized versions of their wildly imaginative Cosmic Legions figures. The result is a modestly priced figure that is effectively a bigger, greatly enhanced Pheyden with lots of optional parts. It's designed to fit with the larger Glyos characters like the Manglors and newer releases from The God Beast - just to name a few. You can also swap in a lot of the spare heads you already own, with the Delphi looking particularly amazing wearing this suit. Manglomortis' head is too large, as are many of the Outer Space Men and the recent Mammoth Monstor noggins. I'll be reviewing those in the coming weeks.
There have been five different versions of this guy for sale, and a sixth clear pink one that was a freebie (or random parts) with each order. I got some pink legs! And I hope to get the rest of the pieces somehow, some day.

I assume you know who Onell Design are, and that they've been doing this for 18 years. And that the Four Horsemen have been making toys for themselves, McFarlane Toys, Mattel, and others since the 1990s. We've seen them collaborate before on a number of products, all of which are usually somewhere between "really good" and "excellent." This time they redesigned the 2 3/4-inch 2007 design of Pheyden. The head is the same size, the arms are a little longer, but the torso and legs? Much bigger. The original design was a space suit open to some interpretation, with little pouches on his belt and a number of segments and panels made from some amazing space tech.
The new one is a little less stylized but feels more like a traditional action figure. Covered in panels with seams and the occasional rivet, it looks like something you might have had in the 1980s. You can see inspiration oozing out of every part, with distinctive fingers and rockets on the soles of his very chunky boots. The evolution is like seeing Mario Pheyden turn into Master Chief Pheyden, but the articulation and build are very similar. Each joint on the original Pheyden is replicated here. You can swap out hands, you can exchange torsos, you can trade shoes if you like.
The belt is optional, and engineered for this particular body. I'm assuming it's a separate piece for a reason, I imagine we'll get alternate belts down the road along with alternate heads or other elements to make different characters. Each of the three heads can wear the newly engineered scarf, and you can also swap in any of a number of existing Glyos-compatible heads on the nearly 4-inch body. All of the joints are smooth, and it's pretty easy to pose or pop apart and swap with other figures. (See below for pictures.)
If you collect Cosmic Legions - and due to price, so far, I don't - you may recognize parts of those figures downsized on Pheyden. The thighs are very similar to figures like Gravenight Slygor Ryz and Opor-A-Tiv83. The hands and lower legs on Thraxxon seem to be a pretty close match to this new Glyos figure. If Onell Design and the Horsemen downsized and simplified more of those characters to match this Glyos style, I'd probably have to start buying them all. How could I not?
This new interpretation has different functionality and a lot of new elements. Pheyden Infinite has holes in his back and feet that were not yet considerations on Pheyden 1.0 back in 2007. Each new part seems crafted with dozens of hours of digital and hand-carved creativity, while retaining elements like his trademark slouch and bent limbs. His left hand can still grip things, but it's designed for bigger action figure accessories. Hand him a thicker lightsaber hilt, or perhaps a 5mm handle from BMOG or a Transformers blaster. The left hand is open, but not as open as before. I haven't found any good lefty accessories on my desk as the hand takes inspiration from Kenner and a lot of those Kenner left hands were mostly for looks, too.
The arms are still reversible, so you can plug the wrist in the elbow socket and put a hand on the end of it. It gives him Popeye arms, and changes his pose so he can more easily wave at you.
Each of the three heads will fit on your old traveler bodies, and they fit in seamlessly with the likes of Regeneration Pheyden or Prime Pheyden. This pack came with a blue Sarvos head, a fully-painted Anti-Pheyden head, and a redesigned Pheyden head. I think the Anti-Pheyden head is going to be something fans are going to covet for years, particularly in these bony colors with the pink eyes. The other heads are great too, but it really stood out with the extra detail and paint.

This figure has no traditional handheld accessories, but you can swap out either of his hands for the included all-new Phase Cannon. The barrel is filled in this time, so you can't put another part in there as a "beam" or a "light." The tip is painted gray with some gray paint on the sides, and the opening is black. It's a lot like Samus Aran's green arm or Mega Man's Mega Buster, and we've had a couple of other versions of this accessory before. This one is the biggest.
It's also the only part that I wish had a little more going for it. It would be great if I could plug more parts into it somewhere, like a little hologram or something. It turned out incredibly well, but a regular Phase Arm could be mutated around thanks to the many parts which make it up. This is one piece. It's a good piece, but you can't do much else with it.
Due to his big feet, he won't fit in a lot of your existing toy vehicles. I got him in a Kenner PDT-8 without a fight, and you can get this not-quite 3 3/4-inch figure into the maligned Young Jedi Adventures vehicles without popping off his legs. They also have giant feet, and their bigger lightsabers fit perfectly in Pheyden's right hand. And if you're lucky, those YJA toys may still be on clearance near you somewhere.
If you made it this far you probably already bought one, and want to know if I like it. I like it! I assume I'll buy a few more colorways and then cool it - I have more Pheydens and Crayboth and Armorvors than I care to admit. I'd love to buy this guy in glow, if I can get more pink clear parts I will, and if Matt Doughty ever does anything in Esedeth Desert Assault Team colors I'd bite. I'd recommend giving this guy a shot. The initial run sold through, and Onell Design did a second brief pre-order reorder window before shipping the figures out - which I assume means a few people bought these to flip and/or will change their mind. Don't overpay on eBay just yet.
