Possibly one of the best collector values of the year! The Nintendo Metroid Dread Samus Aran and E.M.M.I. Amiibo gets you a Kenner-style playset with two figures. The backdrop is blacklight reactive, the base is blue glow-in-the-dark plastic, and the figures are glow-in-the-dark green - but the paint is generally not blacklight reactive. If you can find it, you should get this set - for $75 I got my money's worth. So read on, and come back tomorrow for more fun!

One New Toys R Us Coming to New Jersey

  Via CNBC: Toys R Us is opening a flagship store at American Dream later this month, marking its return to malls. It's one location, opening arguably too late for Christmas, to augment the Macy's toy sections (which have been impressive when I last went to one a couple of months ago.)
This new location is 20,000 square feet. Normal Toys R Us stores were anywhere from 20,000-50,000 square feet, so this is more of a small store than a flagship relaunch.
Is it the return of the toy store you loved? No, the continuity has long been broken so this is a new thing with an old name - and it's hard to know if it'll turn into a new juggernaut, or how long that may take, and who may be on board as of yet. It's one store - it is unlikely you will see exclusives or a rapid expansion across the country, unless the Macy's concept takes off.

New Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Toys Appear Online

  Via TFW2005 and elsewhere: Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Earthrsise Cliffjumper And Studio Series Kup & B-127 Redecos Revealed! Cliffjumper has cartoon blue windows and a more vibrant red, while Kup has a painted chest and more visible battle-damage. And Bumblebee seems to have new colors and a new head - it's a good batch of repaints if you missed the originals.
Buzzworthy items have, so far, largely gone without fanfare from Hasbro. According to TFW, these are expected to hit Targets around December 30. For whatever reason Kup has had a hard time getting a really good "classic" toy, with this being the second repaint of his third attempt over the past decade or so.

Analogue Pocket Goes On Sale Again Today

  Via Analogue: Preorder Dec. 14 8am PST. There's a catch - there are three ordering groups, some will ship Q1, some will ship Q4 2022 and some will ship Q3. They were not clear on who will get what or when, beyond it'll be shared with you on Thursday. More details here.
For those who can't get one (likely me) you can look at reviews by Gizmodo or Metal Jesus or people who are on better press mailing lists than I'll ever be. Early impressions are incredibly positive, with the only negatives being on a sort of slippery D-pad and unlabeled input buttons.
