Die-cast construction! It's a lost art. BanDai Tamashii Nations showed off Injustice: Gods Among Us figures of Batman and The Joker. "So what?" you say. Well, they're quite fancy. Each one has swappable heads, bonus hands, weapons, and oh yes - die-cast metal parts.

You can see unpainted metal parts in the image above - this adds considerable weight to the figure, and as Japanese imports tend to be a tiny bit more expensive this seems like a solid idea. The sculpting and deco was incredible, and up close they really do look like more expensive figures. As such, this works out nicely. Each one should be about $60 per, which may not be quite so bad when you factor in the fact that these are probably the only versions of these characters you'll ever need to buy. I approve! Good stuff.
