Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA July 11-15, 2012

Out of This World! Since there were technically no all-new characters, Outer Space Men coverage is up a smidgen later than "immediately" this time around. The big news was that Terra Firma, the Woman from Earth was shown for the first time in plastic. Her magnetic backpack is present and, uh, it's very cold in space. Very. She was joined by returning champions Colossus Rex (The Man from Jupiter) and Gamma-X (The Man from the Fourth Dimension), all of which are due next year.

Numerous figures were on sale at the show, including Alpha Phase versions of Orbitron, Cyclops, and Gemini were shown alongside upcoming painted versions. The Four Horsemen Cosmic Creators editions of the 2010 waves were shown as well, all of which are/were/should be shipping from the Four Horsemen soon.

Also surprising, numerous custom figures were on display to the tune of $50 each. Based on the signage they're from Ni, of Ni Stuff.

In addition to these, the Action Figure Xpress people had a Todd McFarlane Spider-Man guitar (limited edition of 100) which seemed to sell out pretty quickly alongside ThunderCats Minimates, a second series of which is now confirmed for NYCC. They'll be 4-packs.
