Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA July 21-24, 2011

DC Direct didn't have much new! As a company which recently expanded into video game licenses and classic Warner Bros. properties, it was a little surprising to see so little new on deck at Comic-Con this year. The bulk of fantastic newness came from Mad Magazine, with a series of Alfred E. Neuman Justice League action figures featuring the Mad cover model as various heroes. Of note, the Flash had its fanny exposed via trapdoor. Classy.

Ame Comi figures were shown, including Big Barda, who is indeed big. A series of Spy vs. Spy figures were on display from various artists, including Madman auteur Mike Allred. These figures are customs, wonderful display pieces and one-of-a-kind samples which are not planned for retail (or any) sale.

Numerous other items were on display, but many of these have been shown elsewhere previously and my camera battery sucks.
