Cloud Strife BanDai, 1998

One of many proud, great action figures, Cloud Strife arrives as a nicely posable, well-made statue.

Cloud comes with three accessories (two swords and a stand [pictured with figure]) and has ten points of articulation.

This was the first FF7 figure most people saw when the initial trio hit in January of 1997 in Japan, along with the game. The figure is pretty well sculpted, but it's not as refined as Metal Gear Solid nor is it as durable as the recent Simpsons fare. Still, the figure's well jointed, and just well made enough to make you not feel like you wasted your money. There aren't many nice extras to focus on, but there is one very unusual feature in every figure-- the limbs were made to pop right off. The figure looks great on a shelf, but since his body from the waist down is one piece there isn't too much you can have him do.

The accessories are top notch-- two great swords and a stand round out the set. The figure can stand without too much of a problem on his own, but the extra support is great to have in any toy line.
