Taking a page from modern toys, Kane (with Facehugger) gives us a reason to buy two of the same guy instead of one guy with variant heads or features. The arms and legs are the same as the Chestburster version, but this one isn't "dead" when you remove the alien mask accessory. He's just preggers.
The 4-inch tall figure is tall and shares parts with his sibling, Kane (with Chestburster). This one could pass as a normal crew member on the Nostromo, minus the face-molesting alien creature. His sculpt is clean and consistent with the rest of the line, with his pants taking cues from Ash which help him look more like an authentic classic action figure. The eyes are painted similarly to real 1979 toys, but the outfit as a painted white costume is certainly unusual. Most toys back then would be cast in white plastic, which leads to ugly "yellowing" over time.
Theremovable alien Facehugger is a perfect fit - and better than the 1990s ones. It grips nicely with individual fingers that don't curl strangely, plus it has a straight tail. Bony detailing is nice and creepy, again, this is a lot fancier than a vintage toy could look. There's even detailing on the interior of the Facehugger, with various organs and hints of what's inside. Kenner wouldn't sculpt it, but it's nice that Funko would.
I like it. It's a figure that probable was conceived of in the 1970s at Kenner, but we have yet to see their prototypes, drawings, or mock-ups. That means this concept is as good as anything else we've seen, and it fits in nicely with the other figures in the line - weird skin tone and all. I'd say get it if you can, if nothing else you've got a great Facehugger to attack all of your other toys.
