The obligatory disclaimer: In my day job I work at Entertainment Earth and I am involved in developing some of their exclusives. The Funko G.I. Joe "Pimp Daddy" Destro bobble head was one of mine, and the figure in the comparison shots is the one I photographed to send Funko for reference. As such, you should keep in mind I am incredibly biased when it comes to liking this piece, because I requested it.
Like other exclusives in the line, this bobble head is a straight-up repaint of the normal release. While the head of the normal version is still silver-- I believe there is a gold chase but I've never actually seen it-- the figure is heavily inspired by the 1990s (and the 2007) Comic-Con exclusive action figure. Crazy leopard print, ugly mauve, and generally zany coloring makes this figure even more garish than it needs to be. I'm a fan of weird, and given the item is based on a historically significant variation and is priced to move, should have been a big hit. However, it has an edition size of 1,008 pieces, was released in 2010, and is still in stock. Draw your own conclusions.
Standing about 7-inches tall, this figure is a great way to get one of Cobra's more strangely dressed agents-- and that's saying something-- on your desk for cheap. The Comic-Con exclusive action figure used to be in the hundreds of dollars, but is now closer to $60... but this bobble head? Under $20. It's quite colorful and is probably about as collector-friendly as a Funko Joe product is going to get, so hey, buy one won't you? Make me look good at my day job.
