January 2000: It was inevitableAnnouncement: After not sending out a newsletter for a few months, I came to a realization. And that realization was that by not sending out 10-20 pages of text on Star Wars on a regular basis, and more importantly, not maintaining a mailing list of over 5000 names after I lost my automated listserv, I had time to do stuff. Like make really cool web sites, most of which you have not nor will you ever see, because... well, it's about as exciting to read as a treatise on how Decepticons were the good guys in Transformers. (And yes, these do exist.)The newsletter got pretty infrequent shorlty before the release of Episode One. I started the newsletter to cover a hobby that's more or less taken over my residence and more of my daily routine than I care to share, and... well, it got weird. While I like hearing about a new major variation just as much as the next guy, well, the interest over Qui-Gon holding a saber slightly differently on a card with a different date stamp is something I never really wanted to know about. It's a different world, one that doesn't need the ravings of and scoops from a toy junkie from Arizona emailled to them every few weeks. But never let it be said that I don't enjoy the hobby or writing for it. Far from it. I'm still answering SW questions at Rebelscum.com, and I'm penning infrequent columns/blurbs for Entertainment Earth. And I am still not writing for any magazines... man, that's fun to do. As always I'm always looking for something else to do... and while that project (16bit.com's first incarnation) blew up, another one is being spawned from its ashes. What it is, I ain't saying... but in a nutshell, everything you loved about ASWN and other projects will return in the not-too-distant future. But it won't be a convinient email newsletter, I'm afraid. It'll be free, though, and let's face it, free is always cool. So... yeah. This was the ASWN web site-- if there's something you like here, download it to your hard drive. The Checklists are still being maintained, but now they're hosted at Rebelscum. And the accessory kit pages are more or less going to be coming back because they're one of the few things on this site that turned out exactly like I planned... and I think the format just looks really slick. So to all of you who've been there reading the trash that I've penned since 1995, thanks. (To those of you who bought the magazines I wrote for, thanks even more.) It was great to get involved in all ends of the best sci-fi toy line of all time, to meet collectors from all over the world, and of course to find out that there are people out there just as nutty for their toys as I am. And I hope you find my next project is as enjoyable to write (and to read) as ASWN. Good night, spuds! --Adam Pawlus
New update is cool!Checklists: Guess what? UPDATE!

New update, cool beans!(The stove broke, they're nasty when chilled.)Checklists: Guess what? I added some Episode One checklists, the E1 Action Fleet list, and updated a bunch of the other ones!Resources: Finalized/updated the first 4 Accessory Packs sections. More will be coming when other sets, like the electronic ones, start coming out. As to the next resource... what do you people want to see? Just ask, I'll try to accomodate.
Ummm...Rebelscum.com: Well, another six months go by, and here I am. Well... better late than never. A lot of this site's content will be mirrored/moved to Rebelscum.com in the coming month or so, so odds are I'll be giving this site yet another face lift.Checklists: Updated many existing lists. The Galoob Episode One item lists have NOT been updated yet. OOM-9, Ody Mandrell, and Captain Tarpals from Hasbro are reported available, by the way... and I'm still cleaning these up. Man, you miss a coupla waves and you're WAY off. :) Resources: This is new. When I do some sort of special feature related to the newsletter, that's where it goes. Right now, 3 of the 4 Accessory Sets have been done, the fourth will probably be up by Saturday morning. Meaning next Tuesday.
We be back, big as life and twice as ugly!Return of the Webmeister: After losing all my data, my login from the server, and all other sorts of wacky problems, I have FINALLY come back to update this sorry excuse of a resource page.Checklists: Various updates all around to most areas. The Galoob Episode One item lists have NOT been updated yet. A CommTech chip list will be done in the near future, most likely next week. Variations lists have once again been removed. Toytalk: Two more new editions from Ed Bain, hopefully these are new to you.
